Do you expect her to be strong just in short amount of time? Give her some times more. She scared and she still came forward to the meeting to give her opinion. There's the positive development from the mc that i can see.

True, she was abused from her birth and just because she got an ancient God by her side (about whom she knows nothing) she starts being the independent strong women then that would have been a really sloppy plot.

Same, I don't expect her to be strong like other fls because if i'm being honest, being scared and acting like this is the most realistic part of this story, it's not like you can suddenly be not scared of the things you were scared for before. I hated it when she started to save everyone because the empire was the one who has forsaken her in the first place. The citizens didn't care for her before, her family abused her, none of the officials gave a shit when she was about to be sacrificed, I was confused and a lil angry about this part.

Tbh, I don't give a shit if they start caring for her, start protecting her or start softening up to her, I still hate all of the characters here, the only exception is the fl and the ml who I feel neutral about. Like everyone said, she's got a long way before realizing she should only care about herself but since she's still healing from her abuse, it's hard for her to stay strong. The empire is the only home she knows so that's probably the reason why she wants to save it from the monsters. I don't think she's being a typical saint. (the whole concubines thing, they are all married to the emporor, but some are to have people of the nobel families close to the royal family so the non toyal families can manipulate their way to have more power or to k e e p mroe power)

I understand you're disappointed, but that's why there's a character development, because he made a lot of mistakes. At the very least he is correcting his ways. Regret comes later, and he regretted what he did to his wife and son. Nobody would want to die by their children's hands. Nobody. He is given the second chance, and he will use it wisely now. Well it is a series that is touching on trauma and abuse as well as neglect. It's not surprising she's acting this way, she's lived 3 years of this to the point she's thought of suicide as a means of escape. It's touching real stuff and it isn't something you can just get over with a snap of a finger.

We can see she doesn't believe Winter sees her in a good light, but it's both of their faults for not sitting down to properly communicate with one another because if they honestly do just that a lot of issues would ease up.

This isn't trauma Olympics. People handle things different u stupid bitch. You clearly dont know shit

First, she didn't come from a happy family as you saw in the latest chapter the brother is greedy for money and has made a deal with her in-laws to cheat money out of her without her or the ML ever finding out. Also most illegitimate children are treated like dirt so this is something we expected when we started reading this as that is typical for the time period the author is using.

Second, he wasn't all that hurt from spending the money for her marriage he was hurt from not having anything to give her status since she lost her title as we saw from his inner thoughts. Since he can't get a title for status in the nobility place for her then he threw himself into work to become the richest man for her, but with how he grew up communication isn't his strong suite. He neglected her because he thought she didn't like him, thought negatively on how she perceived him when both were on clearly the wrong page or wrong book entirely.

Third, it's not that she's useless. We can see she isn't useless, but she has been torn down, shamed, mentally and emotionally abused by the family she married into for years. The ML didn't know since his family has been lying about her for years making him believe she hates him and his family saying they've been good to her. That they've been inviting her to parties and such, but it's all a facade. They have been rude to her while she's still living with that Princess style where she is to treat others respectfully, but there's only so many stones you can take thrown at you before you begin to reflect that you are useless on the inside no matter how skilled you are. She showed her skills when she took over her husbands body.

Fourth, it's not that she FAILED to commit suicide, but there is a power that isn't letting it come to an end. She definitely OD'ed the first time and shot her self point blank the second which hey magical being said "uh no, switching time to fix this!"

Also they don't have a kid yet, not sure why you pulled that up. You clearly don't understand the story at all as she had tried to bring up the divorce when killing her self didn't work, but he doesn't want her to leave his side. He wants to keep her there since she was the only one that would have married him in his mind. Both of them suffer from trauma, but he strove with a different mind set then her. He built himself an empire while she was pulled from her empire life into a pit with no help. She's weak physically and mentally so for her to fall into depression and end up on the suicide path is normal. It doesn't make her useless, she had been screaming for help without verbally saying "help". So yes she is pitiful for falling into a broken state. No one cared to help her, the doctor was a greedy guy that didn't care to treat her, the staff ignore her only doing the bare minimal for her, the family hate her, the nobles see her as a disgrace, her own brother uses her to his advantage. Honestly surviving all that for 3 years is amazing even with the poor communication with her husband and the neglect she thinks she's been receiving from him.

Finally, the ML, yes that husband you said you were shocked didn't commit suicide after he married her is because YOU clearly IGNORED the chapter where he was telling us his thoughts on how to make her like him and keep her there since his anxiety over her wanting to leave him was plaguing his mind after she dropped the bomb of "If I did would you put time aside to attend my funeral?"

It was then that her character was trying to seek a change after they had swapped bodies. She had wanted to have her brother help her give the ML a title since she can't pay the money back so that she could divorce him. She thought he was cheating on her with some other woman and wanted to just remove herself so he could marry the 'mistress' who doesn't exist. She wanted to leave willingly for him, but in his spout of anxiety to tie her to him he threw those 2 options to pay him back or give him a title because he knew she couldn't do either. So the moment she realized her brother betrayed her, the support she thought she had was destroyed. Her last step on the thin ice just plunged her under. That mental hole is dangerous and when she was locked in the room it was enough to drive the final nail in the coffin for her as she took on the next chance of escape through suicide once again only to learn that when she tries to kill herself they switch bodies.

She had alerted someone where her body would be so someone could pick up her body that has her husband in it while she dished out a 'noble' attack on her brother forcing him out of the family in a sense. It was showing the next change in our ML that would shape her character development which you clearly missed.

I know I sounded rude, but honestly to tear a character apart for the beginning of the character development into a change is just rude to the author. You can't be judgemental like that, if you don't like it don't read. You obviously don't have any idea how mental health works. Depression isn't such a simple thing since it comes in levels and if you mix let's say insecurity, anxiety, self-destruction, and a good dose of trauma you might just get what is our ML. Just the right emotions can turn a mental issue into a sociopath, but luckily she spiraled on a easier path that she can brought back from if the two just sit down and actually talk.

My opinion on the matter is that polygamy is fine a long as everyone involved consents and is happy with the relationship. A dear friend of mine, who is one of the most independent women I know found a couple she really liked. Both of them. And they liked her. So the added her to the relationship. And everyone was open and honest with communication. It can be very healthy when done right, like any relationship.

Because he’s with those women out of a duty for his country, not love. He shares feelings for Paul that he doesn’t share for the others, but he’s also unfortunately in a position of power which doesn’t allow him to act freely on his emotions. Probably the most realistic ending would be for him to never share his feelings, end up with one of the concubines, and for Paul to either live alone or settle for someone she seems worthy enough.
