Life Completely Ruined
Rly gave me a laugh lol. Ancheol is so unpredictable I could not believe my eyes multiple times
How to fight
Taehoon is prettier than all the girls and smart and cool. I ducking love Seong Taehoon.
Short no spoiler review: season 1 was great, goes downhill from there
Review with spoilers:
Liked s1 and the characters. In s2 it just got ridiculous. It devolved into frustrating fight after fight and no one knows what theyre fighting for, except for Taehoon and the one guy who liked the reservoir.
Let's talk about the enemy gang. Why do 5 of the strongest teenager fighters in korea think lee jinho is their lifeline? Most want money, but there's still no reason to put their lives on the line for ljh specifically, "koreas biggest criminal" who lost to a bunch of teenagers, doesn't give a shit about the ppl under him and regularly backstabs them. Cmon, is every other employer broke? The lee jinho criminal life is not the only way to get their interests. Most believable part was when joshua and haesoo just went "bro it aint worth it... just kill me man".
And hobin started off as a guy who wants money, with a group of ppl who want money and friendship. Then in s2 he doesn't care about money, his original friends (blondie, short hair girl) lose screentime to explain backstories of random villains. S2 isn't about all the characters I fell in love with in S1; it's just gang wars, violence, and psychopaths.
Seong Taehoon is still awesome tho. Pls step on me. Although I wish we got to see him achieve his earlier dream of spreading the art of taekwondo, idk why the author dropped that plotline. Also hes 100% a better match for hobin than bomi, I'm convinced the author agrees.
This is the romance that should have happened:
Bomi with moonsung
Pink hair with gaeul
Hobin with taehoon
Yeonwoo with taehoon
Me with taehoon
Devil Returns To School Days
This is so good. This is the best revenge manga I've read.
I wish it showed more of the mc's newfound happiness with his grandma and brother though! That's what he's fighting for after all.
Dear Boy
This shit was good. I wanted to see some satisfying revenge and got hit with philosophy, ethical questions, wrapped up in awesome storytelling with great characters. It felt like the author was trying philosophies one after another— the brother’s is wrong, now what? Let’s try the dad. The dad’s is wrong… Let’s look at his son, the sister… the main character themself… Wait… are any of them correct? Oh, that’s up to the reader to decide then.
By the way, if you want satisfying revenge—because this was by no means satisfying—try devil returns to high school ;)
