ian was forced to be a pushover because those officers made him into an ANGEL which he was never be. this is a spoiler so i wont explain why, but anyway this is also the reason why he almost never rejected people whenever they asked him for help. bc he was anxious if people know that he was FAKE, and his mother would be affected and go downhill again. he's just a good son, but he wasn't an angel. he loves yugun sm bcs he can acts freely without that mask, yugun is his home. not even his mother could make him feel that way. this is why I WOULD NEVER have a real respect to police officers, they're all just trash. no matter which country are they from
