I’ve noticed a lot of people are confused about the ending. The lover of the killer, throws himself in front of the gun in order to save the other cop. The killer than thinks he is dead and kills himself, and then the kid ends up surviving and that’s why he wakes up in the hospital. And then the ending, chapter 30 I’m reminiscing on the memories they had when the killer was alive
