No i don't think he is the dad we saw the dad when they talked about the fact that MC mother's married a powerful man (he was blonde with red eyes)
I was sure Paris was the half-brother who was to become the heir to the throne (her father's and his mistress' child. I believe the cousin mentioned is "Gale". Maybe I'm wrong, but idk anymore
I want to clarify something: the original poster was asking if Paris' character was similar to Gaius and Gale's characters I'm pretty sure. I was simply answering that.
If you knew that though I'll address the points you made in the following:
They were purely talking about the eyes and colouring the hair when they showed the blond hair and red eyed guy. Which after rereading that part makes me think that guy they were showing there is Paris. Because in the family tapestry shown in the first chapter Paris has black hair and both his mother and father had dark hair. The eyes in that picture of the blonde hair and red eyed dude however are a much duller red than Apollonia's. (Plus we never see Paris' eyes in the family tapestry.) So this could be a reference to the part about how it's not as easy to disguise the eyes as it is to disguise the hair.
Plus even if that picture was brought up in regards to the talk about her marrying a powerful man, he had (albeit full) red eyes and blonde hair so he'd be closely related to Elenia. If he was related to the MC's mother, given the attitudes towards such relationships that are shown here, I'd think there would have been much more ado made about Elenia's previous relationships than what people were told in that made up story about Gaius and Elenia's 'secret meetings'.
Elenia also has a younger brother so that photo could have been of him too I guess.
And the powerful man they were referring to in that comment you brought up was most likely Gaius himself.

Yes he is the half-brother. I never said he wasn't. Refer to my comment above. We are interpreting the same question completely differently is all!

I thought the original comment asked who Paris was, referring if he was the cousin or father. I must have read the question wrong.
Yeah I originally thought that they meant the same thing as you thought too. But then I noticed they asked if he was like the cousin *and* (not or) dad. So in that case then it made more sense to me if the original poster was asking what kind of character Paris had.
