I'm not going into the debate on younger seme/uke, older seme/uke, the age gap, or what is better. Everyone has their own taste; I acknowledge that, and I always refrain from judging others. But I see there is a problematic issue in this BL and other BLs and genres too that no one is speaking about. I will paraphrase it in my own words. "Basically, a grown ass man takes a kid under his wing just for that kid to grow into a young man and have sex with him" (sounds borderline pedophilia if you ask me, no?). I know that this is fiction, and we should take it at face value, but we can still have this conversation, right?
Seju aka mc doesn't look after him just for sex or future boyfriend etc, from the plot alone you can guess that ML likes MC first, ML. it's quite impossible for MC to take the first step to hit on ML. You can check something same like this with 'Stranger'

Well, that's not my point. I don't care who likes whom. The point is that ML is still minor, right and MC is in his late 20s or 30s. And I'm not talking about this BL specifically. We see this problem across genres. I wouldn't have complained if ML was in his 20s, but here he was a teenager. It reminds me of another BL where both MC and ML like each other but have to wait for one to become an adult. It just rubbed me the wrong way.
i understand where you’re coming from but this isn’t mc waiting for ml to grow up so they could be together, mc doesn’t like ml in romantic way when he is young and he is not grooming him. ml might like mc when he is a teen but that is only a crush. mc liking ml later, when they’re both grown is something different and those feelings just changed for him. but if he is like “i liked him since he was a child” that’ will be disturbing.
I have read a story almost like the one you mention. BUT it cant be help if a story went for that. They just waiting for them to grow up and be independent before make any move. Depends on how they develop their feelings. It's better than any story that goes straight to that stuff when they're minor.

Maybe you are right. I'm someone who puts themselves in the characters' shoes and starts mixing fiction with reality, and imagines what I would have done.
And I have no problem with age; in contrast, I love it, but as long as both parties are adults and I guess that is where the problem lies. Like how people say that ML will transform into a hunk, and I'm associating that with growing up from a kid to an adult.
Not everyone's cup of tea. But in this case, I like it. This is not made for a serious reading or anything, you just have to read it causally and without any thoughts.
I tried to look for Japanese version but sadly it seems like it was dropped and not updated for years. Not that this manga is great or something but the concept was very unique. An omega here was depicted as the one who has all the controls unlike any other omegaverse.
