You have to understand the culture of the Korean education system. These kids literally go to school 18-22 hours a day to become the best student they can, to be the best in their class, to attend the best university. The korean education system rewards only the best students, and if you can’t reach their expectations, you’re seen as a burden not only to your parents but to society.
