Just a thought but... couldn't the mouse guy technically get away... by turning into a mouse and hiding in a tiny hole? You know like how Jerry from Tom and Jerry hides in his little hole in the wall? Plus.... no one would be able to fuck him in that form.... unless they as well are a tiny species like a mouse.... So it would be impossible since a mouse is tinier than a dick.... In other words, when in doubt, turn into a mouse.... Right?

true. I guess it would depend how bad the heat is. But I'm guessing not all predators are going to go for a mouse. Foxes do since it's their primary prey. but I'm guessing a bear for example wouldn't be trying to eat mice. Well it was just a hypothesis of mine either way.
i wonder if they can change by will in the first place tho? or if it's something that happens with exhaustion or extreme emotions ( like being unable to control predatory instincts?) and if it's possible during a heat?
that's actually a good question. Maybe they change into their animal forms unconsciously just like you said. But he did change into his mouse form there at the end even though he was in heat so at least that we know of I guess
these to keep going back and forth withe their feelings it's getting tiring. If they decided like this with matters of the state the empire would've fallen immediately like jeez. I don't like how the duke now suddenly feels as if he is entitled to her choosing him. When he was forced into this engagement he always showed his utter dislike for the FL. So she said lets break the engagement and THATS when the dudes like no wait, maybe I would like her actually. So first he shows his complete hatred and then when she agrees to his wish to break up, he gets feelings. Like fine fall in love idc, BUT DON'T YOU DARE THINK FOR A SECOND THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY YOU'RE GONNA MARRY. YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE NOW MOVE OVER. SHE DIDN'T GIVE A TIME LIMIT BECAUSE SHE HOPED FOR YOU TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HER. SHE GAVE YOU A TIME LIMIT TO GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER AND AGREE TO BREAKING THE ENGAGEMENT. sorry I just had to get this shit out. Like assassin dude ain't that much better but their relationship was more of convenient lovers beforehand already and both consented to the relationship they had. So rather than doing a 180, he just developed more feelings. Duke here doing summersaults with his feelings. Like just go to the princess and leave the FL out of your drama with the king. You had your moment and flipped a bird at it, now let her go to someone who actually has a whole brain that functions.
First I'd like to say, I get Morandi for wanting to get the revenge for the 400 years of solitude he went through. But after reading so many plots about revenge, unless the person is dead, they always find themselves back and ready to make more trouble. So personally I'm happy she's dead. Like can't get back from that, unless author gonna go crazy and reincarnate her with her memories intact or something. It's one problem down. Now they just need to deal with Sea, then they good. Unless more meddlers come, all the two MLs need to do is get a bit more lovey dovey. Meddlers can be good but when one problem is solved it's nice if it STAYS solved, and I've read to much to think letting her be alive at the bottom of the ocean is good. Like sure, it's satisfying with the payback, but the miniscule chance of her possibly coming back before the 400 years of solitude is up, just gives me anxiety for all the different kinds or "revenge" she'd give back.
