The same reason Old Testament figures in the Bible had to have married siblings. With a limited number of beings available in the various creation stories, and frequently the second generation of created things emerging from a single pair of parents, where else are they going to find a mate?

Mind you, that’s not absolute. In many cases, creatures in Greco-Roman mythology emerge out of chaos. For instance, in Hesiod’s Theogony, we have from Chasm/Chaos figures like Gaia, Erebos, Nyx, and Eros spontaneously forming. They have nobody else to mate with, though they are arguably siblings that emerge from androgynous Chaos.

Nyx and Erebus mate so that Nyx can give birth to Air and Day, but if Air and Day were to have kids, their only choices for mates would be each other or one of their aunts/uncles. Limited mythological population logically necessitates incest.

Then you have Earth/Gaia give birth to Uranus, the sky. The parentage is unclear—the fertilization might be parthenogenetic, but if she did mate to produce him, it would have to have been with Chaos, her father, or one of her siblings, or one of her nieces/nephews. No other options are available to her.

After producing Uranus, she takes her son as a lover. (Why not? Every other option would also be incestuous), and Earth and Sky then go nuts with a population explosion to produce Titans, Cyclopes, monsters like the Hecatonchoires. By the time the Titan Cronos is devouring his kids, and Zeus rebels and frees his siblings from Cronos’ stomach, Zeus again has an incest problem. He can mate with various unappealing monsters (but many of them are of the wrong gender). Many of the Titans have been locked away in Tartarus. He could (and does not) mate with his mom Rhea, he could (and does) mate with a few female Titans who are his aunts (such as Metis and Dione), and he could (and does) mate with nymphs and naiads (who are also his aunts or his nieces/nephews/cousins), or he could mate with his sister.

There is literally nobody in existence for the gods to mate with except relatives. So, sibling-mating makes a nice symmetry, especially since there were six female Titans and six male Titans who were couples in the older generation, and now there are six Olympian gods and six Olympian goddesses who are taking over their older domains of earth, sea, and sky.

I also want to talk about the couple sex chapters, those are not cannon, which means it didn't happen!! If you look at the extra chapters at the end of season one, those were "fanservice" so they were like an alternate version that didn't happen. But if you talking about the time around chapter thirty-something, that was Sekhmet controlling Horus because of the mirror. So Horus hasn't actually raped Seth. I hope this clears everything up (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Some people are hating the story say how Choi Tae-soo is too emotional and how they find that kind of annoying! But yall, if you think about it, it is good the main character is emotional because of these deaths that our main character is experiencing, we can see how the main character grows from them, which is showing a lot character devolvement in his character. Like if I am being honest would you rather have the main character not care about the deaths or would you rather have him do care and see how those death change him to be a different man, as this story goes on. If you think about every time the main character patient dies, it always encourages him to do better and work harder, so he can save as many lives as he can without going through that pain after he loses a patient!! I personally like that that the main character is emotional because you can see how much our main character cares about his patient!! I am glad the mc is the person he is today because what if he had a big ego and didn't know what to do in a certain situation, the story would have been very bad and annoying to follow along !! So everyone please support the author for putting in his hard work !! The only issues I have are going to be the translation and how sometimes the story get cut off or a certain part of the story get repeated a couple of times!! But other than that please support the author!! The story plot is amazing and I am really enjoying the character devolvement as the story goes on as well!! The story may be more slow pace but the story is a masterpiece so I am not complaining!!! I can't wait for the updates, that all I have to say bye!!! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

If I am being honest the story is good itself but it does have a lot of rape, but I think the story gives you waring, and if you like look at the story genre, is specifically said Drama / Psychological!! So I guess what I am trying to say is that you were already given a heads up that the story was going to be gory and pretty fucked up!! So you really shouldn't hate on the story itself, the story art is amazing and the story plot is good as well!! you are able to see the development within the main character and the other characters in the story!! Some people complaining how they should be other crimes than just raped but if you think about it, raped is a pretty high crime and lot of girl in the world go through it today!! so I guess in a pretty fucked up way, I find it interesting itself!! I am a girl, so I do kind of feel what these girls have gone through but not really at the same time!! So i guess what i am trying to say the story is a masterpiece and you should support the author for all his hard work that he is putting into making this story itself!! WHAT!!! COMPLETED!! WHY!! I LOVE YOU AUTHOR BUT STILL!!! I REALLY WANTED TO SEE MORE, THE ENDING WAS SO UNSATISFYING!!! THE ENDING FELT WAY TO RUSHED!!! like it really disappointing because I been following this story snice chapter one, just to see the ending rushed like that !! ╥﹏╥ the story left me with so many confusion and questions!! I hope we can get a reason why but it is sad to see you just completed your story just like that!! I understand if you have your reasoning but if you want to start a long story at least make the ending reasonable for your viewers, don't just leave and dropped the story with so many unsolved answers !! what happened to that guy that show up at Simon house ? What happened to Simon spilt personality ?? Did Simon learned to control his powers ?? Did Simon and whatever that guy named come together ??? Did Simon teacher and his sister come together ??? What happened to Simon parents ?? their are definitely more question that are probably unsolved but those are just some of the questions I can come up with off the top of my head !!! Author I am really disappointed with you, this story had so much potential to be longer !!! I hope the story isn't really completed and their is some logical explanation!! but if their isn't that just sad!! if your ever do make another story, please at least try to make the ending reasonable !! But if I am being honest this story dose has it flaws but I stand up for it because I beloved this story was worth it!! but now that I see the story was just throw in the trash and dropped, I am mad!! I have given my thoughts about this unsatisfying ending and before anybody put the dislike button, this is my opinion and you have to respect that!! Also respect every other person who putting a complain about this ending ending because it really is just sad to see the author completed a good potential story just like that!!! that all I have to say goodbye!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! this story was so gooooood!!! It very unique compared to different bl but still good as shit!!! The story itself is a fucking masterpiece but I do feel like this story could have got more chapters but there is nothing we can do !! I personally feel like the ending was rushed and I wish that we were able to see more of the side couple relationship!! but overall the story is interesting!! please support the author and read the other works!! one of the other works is '' We Only Held Hands '' it good as well, please read it !!! back to the MAIN topic, the story plot and art and characters are all put well together but not going to lie some characters kind of look way too similar but other than that the story is 5 stars!!!
