This is not one of the first acts of mass murdering committed by soo won’s father that the manga has shown us, this man literally took for prisioners both civilians and soldiers from xing kingdom and told the population that he was going to release them, only to behead them all and throw their heads outside. King Il was the one left to resolve this, something that could have escalated to a war kouka wasn’t ready to face.
If you think about it, most of the times the kouka kingdom was going to fall was bc of soo won’s dad’s recklessness and bloodlust.
Anyway, that’s something interesting to point out bc at least I had forgotten about, now I’ll continue rereading lol
y’all saying “i guess we watched a different banana fish” are implying that csa victims can’t heal, that they can’t reclaim their sexuality bc of their past trauma.
the author has stated that ash is bisexual, never said he was asexual. yes his relationship with eiji was not sexual, but I’m sure if he had the proper assistance he might have grown from all of his trauma.
when people say things like that they can be creating real damage to REAL people, many victims see themselves in ash’s shoes, and saying that ash can’t have a healthy and sexual relationship with his significant other can install a mindset of “oh I’m never going to be able to get over this terrible thing that happened to me and be able to express myself as I want”
I'm amazed at how much immaturity is poured into this comment section. This is a very heart warming story even.
Not only what you're saying is true, I believe people have the right to fantasize about their favorite stories or events, and they don't have the obligation to be absolutely truthful to the original material... People doesn't even have to agree to a single conclusion of the same story...
The only one that has never been blinded by revenge is yona, she’s the only one with the right mindset that can govern the country.
Soo won has been plotting the king murder since he was 9 years old, he says is bc he’s not the rightful ruler and that only him can put a stop to all the wrongs that have happened, but doesn’t he realize that he’s just like his father? I mean, they are both so bad, acting as if the only way was killing each other (his father murdering the innocents in the temple and later killing kashi and also attempting to kill yona)
Because of this arc I was gonna give Soo Won the benefit of the doubt, but this has only reinforced my dislike of him, he acts as if his way was the correct way, he sees everything as black or white and doesn’t realize that there’s also grey
I have tried to like her and relate to her for most of the story, but i just can’t bring myself to like her. Her naivety is getting annoying, is like she can’t think for herself, even tho she’s really educated just like Athy, and I do understand that she might feel lonely and all that, but you can’t expect everyone to be around you all the time like you want them to, that’s really selfish, I feel like most of the time she doesn’t understand others people’s feelings despite she being described as someone that is kind, bc most of the time she’s so absorbed inside herself that she just ignores whats going on around her.
i stan her so much omg yes shut them up!! she already has the support of the people and now she’s going to rise from the inside, i can’t wait for future chapters
