chinese manhuas usually have horrible pacing but the relationship development in this one is so good!! the brother and lan yang are so cute i almost died during their kiss scene!!! definitely recommend, the art is not the best but it doesn't detract from the well written story

But I do agree, I enjoy this pace. Not too slow, realistically slow enough despite what has to be filtered/ censored out, for it is a Chinese manhua/webtoon. But not too incredibly fast where I get thrown into a tornado of plot throwup.
oh i don't think the art is bad per se! it's certainly very cute, i am just more critical when it comes to anatomy and stylization (happens when you spend years taking fine arts classes ) and to me this art doesn't show the "expertise" that say, here u are or 19 days does. the artist does do a pretty good job of creating distinctive characters though.
and tornado of plot throw up is so accurate for so many chinese webtoons!! i've had to give up on so many promising manhuas bc the story just didn't make sense

i'm on ch 25 and so far the premise is interesting, the side stories are touching, and the characters are likeable...but is it just me or is yoonsung bland as hell? i cannot buy the chemistry between him and yohan at all!! like what personality does he have other than being helpful around the house.. it totally doesn't match yohan's character at all. i don't think he's a bad character but he is so boring.
the tiger and magpie are cute though, i'm very interested in their back story.
has anyone else noticed that pre-goblin king soha wore the same earrings as harang (goblin general)? i don't know if those are just generic earrings but if not that might be an interesting detail, i wonder if it means anything....
the art is good but the characters feel a bit childish and melodramatic....the tiniest thing happens and all of a sudden people are feeling "nauseous" and "unable to breathe" it's kind of tiring. a good chunk of the chapters are also extremely blurry (the indonesian raws). might try to finish it some other time but not very impressed

well, for someone who's had unrequited love for all her life, i can say that the feeling of "not being able to breath" once you like someone can be true. Not literaly though.. It feels like you're holding your breath just cause every littl thing that the person do affects your mood..there's the feeling of nausea that I think might also be metaphor only..
