I feel like story's like these are far and few between and especially at this caliber. The characters are developed and the world building/conflict is perfectly introduced from the first chapter. I'm ngl I cried like every chapter because of the FL situation and how utterly toxic, twisted, and deformed the ML and FL relationship is. Us, the readers, knowing in hindsight the ML loves the FL despite whatever delusions he tells himself- and the tragic showing of the FL falling out of love and becoming detached from life is heart wrenching. Witnessing their tragic love play out just does a number to my heart. I'm really excited to see where the story goes and tbh I wouldn't mind/find it ideal if the story ends in like 50 chaps or smthing (that number is a generous amount even for me based on how the story is going as of right now assuming we're at like the climax or smthing) Do I believe they'll be happy in love at the end? I dunno- but it'll take some crazy good writing to pull that off. I really wanna read more stories like these cause I guess I hate myself and wanna go through the same roller coaster of emotions I just went on reading this.

I think a similar story you'd like is "What It Means To Be You" it's also pretty angsty and kind of reminds me of this one

I dropped this a while ago but periodically come back to see how it is developing and I am slightly surprised at some of the comments because all 3 of our main characters have developed past their tropes and feel fleshed out and "lived" in. They have grown a lot from who they were at the beginning and grown from the lowkey toxic behavior. I find it rather refreshing to see the main characters not obsessed with one another and focusing on themselves, it drives an important message that you can't give love if you don't have any to give yourself. I am rather happy with how this story is going and if they find each other again now, the story shall go on, but if it ends here I think the lasting message will be just as impactful!
