He knew that once Charlize's thirst for revenge is cleared, she will have no more reason to live, so Dylan made the emperor immortal and chained him to torture him to the point that he wished he was dead. Yeps, Dylan did that for Charlize. Charlize realized that the word "Tyrant" is nothing compared to what Dylan has become.

I just finished reading the novel of " I became the tyrant's secretary ", and I really wanna murder the OG FL - Ella and the Empress (ML's stepmother).
Also, I hate the fact that the ML didn't punish the OG Heroine (Ella) after he was almost raped by her.Like literally NOTHING. NO PUNISHMENT FOR THE B*TCH. Like tf you doing dude? i get that she is the no1 empress candidate (lol she only ranked 1 because she cheated - the real winner was the FL Rosaline) but she literally almost popped your virgin cherry! I thought that touching a royal family w/out consent is treason?

Ella poisoned/drugged Kahir with an aphrodisiac and climbed on top of him. He built up poison tolerance over the years though and was able to hold off on it a bit and Rosaline comes and chases Ella out. The drug/aphrodisiac is one of those fictional plot moving ones where if you don't fulfill your desires the aphrodisiac acts as a poison in your body. Kahir orders Rosaline out and seriously yells at her for the first time ever (Rosaline notes she never understood why other people were so terrified of him until now and is hurt) and Kahir tells her not to make him into a horny bastard (lmfao).
In protest Rosaline plops onto his lap and hugs him lol. Kahir recognizes that she isn't ready though (something about she still isn't even ready to kiss him, I skipped ahead but I think at this point she still hasn't come to terms with his feelings for her) and has James the escort/bodyguard/knight take her to her room and then proceeds to spend the rest of the night in an ice cold bath while James continuously fetches ice for him throughout the night. Normally the knowledge that Rosaline is next door comforts him and puts him to sleep but now her being next door is poison.
As emperor with a lot of enemies he never wants to show his weaknesses, so they silence anyone who was around and refuses to see a doctor but his condition deteriorates and word leaks anyways. Doctors and nobles flock over but he refuses to see anyone and Derek is the one to try to keep everyone at bay. Someone saw Rosaline in his lap or at that night though and the nobles on the Empress Dowager's side (probably) either frame/push it all on Rosaline as mentioned or just happened upon that theory but I think it was a purposeful frame lol, again I skipped and skimmed so not tooooo clear on the specifics.
But yeah. So while I haven't read further just yet it's not like Kahir isn't doing anything because his hands are tied but that he isn't doing anything because he's bedridden with an aphrodisiac turned poison because for once in a novel, the story does not go down the route of the ML and MC spending a forced night together For The Smut And Really Bad Plot Device For Relationship Progress lol. I mean again I don't know the specifics of how he recovers and the aftermath of all that including if his hands are tied against the nobles or not but like, I just thought I should clear up some serious misunderstandings people seemed to be having. Honestly is it that weird to have his hands tied to an extent if he didn't recover until MC was jailed with the backing of the Empress Dowager and powerful nobles?? A good chunk of how his character developed after Rosaline intervened as his secretary is that he isn't a monster bloodthirsty tyrant, but more of being seen as an unreasonable bloodthirsty tyrant because he relentlessly tries to fix the corruption amongst nobility (with Rosaline's help and advice deterring him from straight up killing every single dumbass in court and council cause there are a lot lmfao).
Sorry that became longer than I intended it to. You have people complaining about novels with Actual Murderer Tyrants and in novels with More Reasonable Tyrants With Realistic Constraints there's literally no way to win lol.
Once again I just want to reiterate I only read up to when the nobles start barging/having Rosaline's room searched so yeah just. Wanted to say something haha.

According to NovelUpdates spoiler thread, it's not. MC tells the OG!FL off pretty quickly for this kind of mention. She easily recognizes that she's shit and outright tells her she won't help her with the emperor. I agree with you about ML's Girlfriend. The way the MC character acts with the ML and OG!FL sort of sunk my interest

I've been wondering, Is Roxanna a Villainess? I mean it didn't mention in the book that she was one. In fact, she was just an extra without a single screen time. And in the moment she entered the book, she didnt do anything villainous to the main characters. If we base her on the heroin's POV, She is a supporting character that saved her brother from the actual Villains. Well, she have that Villainess Aura and vibe. But is she a villainess tho?
