What is fl is really inherently attuned (with strong natural affinity) to both rival empires' "gods" (spirits) selena and luminas .... then marianne wanted to take fl's place so she killed her in her 1st life to pose as selena's chosen saint (which should be the fl) but actually she's just using black magic to pretend she's light magic??? Maybe that's what all this elementalist book means when it says spirits are in conflict??? Selena vs luminas?? (But selena never been revealed tho so is she even real at this point maybe she's actually a demon vs a light spirit... so this point may contradict my theory lolol)
