Poor Masato. He is so cute and lovely but Asahi dont appreciates him truly. He is only thinking about his dad, work, how he is broken and hurt, how he cant open up, how this and that... and he forget what is the most inportant. Asahi thinks he consider Masato but in my opinion he doesnt. He doesnt give him enough attention and trust, meanwhile Masato is working too hard for both of them ;(((
Asahi doesnt think that Masato also was hurt in past and has a scar in heart ;(
in my opinion, I think Asahi is still hurt about his past. it's not that easy to forget it especially if there are some tiny details that reminds him of it. it's not that he doesn't think about Masato. I know Masato was also hurt in the past. but they're different individuals. their way of coping up and overcoming their own struggles are different. as long as they stay together and conquer it together, they will be happy(▰˘◡˘▰)
I do think that Asahi needs to work a little more, but this is Love Nest 2. I.e. in the first storyline we got a lot of Masato's hang-ups and emotional baggage. Asahi wanted to be with Masato even though it might cause a rift with his brother. Asking to come home was Masato's big moment.
This is Asahi's emotional storyline. He watches out so much for other people that he is holding back. Masato is so dear that Asahi doesn't want to cause pain by implying that their relationship is 'easier because he can't have children and so is running around inside his own head- much the way Masato did.
It was kinda similar in sayonara and change world. Sayonara was Itou's story to accept Iku's love and change world was Iku's story to embrace how uncool and possessive as hell he was with Itou.
