How can people read this through without skipping chapters. Like I couldn't take her being a damsel in distress for so many chapters. Her sisters plans aren't all that clever, and if she had any initiative she could've gotten through them pretty unscathed.

Same! I didn't start skipping until I was a bit past the point where she became the nanny, and never noticed! I thought she was just being stupid! Honestly when did she even get poisoned? Isn't that a really important part? Why do I not even know she got poisoned!
