Question: when you say “promo manhwa”does that mean it’s going to be a real manhwa or just to promote the novel?

Basically the publisher of the webnovel just commissions a promo chapter (a chapter that is usually just kind of like a trailer so takes the basic premise of the webnovel with a high highlights of things that happen after the beginning) for an artist to draw, so it's to advertise the webnovel. So if fans like the promo, they can just read the novel if they want to know more. It's kind of like in Japan, how anime are produced to advertise a manga (because manga is much more popular and ubiquitous in Japan), so that's why most only run for a season and never adapt the whole thing. But just like manga and anime, if a webnovel is really popular (and I'm assuming Korean fans really like the promo, so the promo successfully did its goal), then an artist will be officially hired to adapt the webtoon from start to finish. Usually it's a different artist they hire, so not the one that does the promo art.

Just like this wonderful work of art! At first it is only a promo but look at how far it got and we'll wait for how far it may go!
