Personally, I kind of enjoyed the story. I pity the prince, and of course guys, we cannot forget that Aristia was incredibly in love with the Prince to begin with. Yes, forgiving him is hard and she denied it for so long. The present Prince doesn't understand why the woman he loves, would fear him. The past Ruve and the present Ruve are different people with different wants. It is clear that they loved each other from the beginning, but were just pressured so heavily by high society that they were unable to convey their feelings. The plot was unfair to Aristia and Ruve. Aristia wanted to be happy and strong, but she realized in the end that she could never move on from Ruve, no matter how hard she tried. It is easier to accept something once you have seen the good in it. She was uncomfortable with Ruve and afraid of him until she saw him change. Then after that the story became jumbled and felt forced.

~would def only rec to a bored friend who has read all of the god stuff already :)
