Cause the guy that offered the job and the cures for his grandma is linked to the loan sharks that made Dan's life hell. I mean, Jk is not better, but I don't think it would've been good either going to that gym

I think Dan did the smart thing by turning him down. The dude obviously didn’t give a fuck about Dan or his grandma. He was gonna use Dan and throw him away. Honestly, the whole “miracle cure” in the states sounds like snake oil to me anyway. The asshole gym owner is no better than Jaekyung. They both view Dan as nothing more than a tool to get what they want. They can use and abuse him, and they don’t care how badly it hurts him.

well Dan doesn't KNOW that, does he? all he knows is that the manager of jk's rival's company is offering him a shit ton of money and treatment for his grandma if he spills the beans on this man who's never hesitated to rape him. Dan has nothing to lose, his grandma is going to die regardless, what reason does he have to NOT take this chance?

Dan has feelings for Jk. He really shouldn’t (based on everything Jk has done to him), but he still cares for the man. The gym owner is a stranger, and Dan can sense that he has bad intentions. I think he rejected him bc he realized that the dude was shady. Dan already knows he’s going to lose his grandma. Like you said, she’s going to die regardless. He doesn’t want to believe it, but deep down he knows that there’s nothing he can do to save her. When she’s gone, he’ll have no one. Except maybe… Jk? I think his subconscious wants to hold on to Jk, and even protect him, because he thinks that jk will be all he has left at the end.
