I'm not sure how accurate the story is bc I haven't reached that part of the webnovel yet but i do know for sure that he does betray her. If you don't know yvonne is the antagonist in this story. In the original storyline it was vinter who brought yvonne back (during penelope's coming of age party) but in this new storyline it is eclise who brings back yvone. He's obsessed and he wants penelope to lose her status in the eckarts (& be kicked out) so that she'll be solely reliant on him. This is the spoiler that I got this from..
