Sometimes I don’t understand ppl’s way of rating here... like there are already warnings before reading this story and the horror tag is in it. Listen, if you think that the story isn’t well written, then giving it a bad rating for objective reasons is okay. However almost everyone here is rating this based on something they’ve been warned about, like you ain’t complain about horror in an horror story it’s kinda dumb.
SPOILER : anw for me it’s a 4/5, it’s scary and disturbing, but i am not satisfied... i wanted to see him avenging everyone before his death
Ppl plz know what u want. When there’s angst aka the plot moving, y’all miss their cute moments aka messing around. But when they’re messing around u want the plot moving like isn’t it just better to enjoy the present ?
I’ve tried to understand and interpret the meaning of these fruits so I got this so far :
1. Jian yi is a pineapple according to Mo bc it hurts his mouth meaning that Mo is one of these ppl who cannot stand pineapple taste (m so glad m not the only one lmao). He hates jian yi’s yapping so he scold him everytime that’s why jian yi hurts his mouth. However I looked at the meaning of a pineapple in chinese culture n it’s associated with good luck as pineapple sounds like "luck coming your way" in chinese. We could interpret it as although mo finds jian yi’s nonenses annoying, he thinks that jian yi had bring more luck and joy than misfortune in his life since he met him.
2. Jian yi sees mo as a durian with red stinky shell due to mo always protecting himself in his walls and not letting anyone enter it. He is always on guard that he repels anyone that tries to approach him (the stinky smell and hard spiky shell of the durian). However when you are able to gain his trust, he is one the sweetest person you ever meet (the durian fruit in itself). China also consider durians as the king if fruits so I think Jian Yi sees mo as an outstanding, fierce person with a sweet side in him.
3. Xixi is a pomegranate and I absolutely have no idea how to interpret it, but I’ll try. Xixi is an aloof, taciturn character. He is quite similar to mo in the aspect that he doesn’t share much of his thoughts, also the durian and the pomegranate are quite similar in structure. On the outside, he looks rather discret and quiet like the shell of a pomegranate but on the inside he has many seeds (sorry it sounds weird lmao) meaning many qualities that not everyone is aware of. I also looked at the meaning of pomegranates and it is often related to prosperity, so I’ll interpret it as Xixi also having many love (many seeds of love) to share with the people he cares about.
4. He Tian is a banana n I heard from my chinese friend that they refere someone who’s chinese that doesn’t speak chinese as a banana (yellow aka chinese on the outside and white aka western on the inside). However he tian speaks chinese, so I’ll interpret it as Tian is more open and laid back unlike strict chinese culture. He is a bit annoying, not serious and childish at times, mostly when he teases and jokes around, but he is also a very cheerful guy at heart, always outgoing and ready to help his friends no matter what happens.

Xixi's interpretation is spot on! Him full of love cause is you think it in a way that he loves his family and have loving family, then there goes when he's a child approachinh little Jian yi and accompanying him, then understanding Jian yi feelings and all.
Everything is spot on I just wrote about Xixi cause you said you have no idea how to interpret it but you did it so well!
