Mitsumei
MC goes undercover to spy on childhood friend ML. It was a short, quick read, but I enjoyed reading the dialogue in Casablanca-old-movie accents.
Chiya's Just an Unstable Guy
Chiya (MC) is a crybaby and insecure, but ML loves him nonetheless. MC is so cute and the ML is really understanding. Find yourself someone like ML who will put up with your bs.
Hosik's story
This was a cute slice of life and the b a b i e s were just adorable :(. The ML sungyeon is weirdly possessive but I live for it because of the ~drama~. The MC Hosik and his friend were really natural characters and it was the main thing that kept me reading. The plot line is simple at first, but there’s an unexpected historical reincarnation plot line that’s revealed near the end. And I’m a sucker for historical plots. Overall a light read. Nothing too complicated or mind blowing. Just very wholesome.
Samishigariya no Love Letter
First and main story was the best. MC exchanges letters with the ML of 3 years ago and so commences the wholesome uwu love story
Hate no Kouya de Vacances wo
YESSSSSS interesting and original short stories with gorgeous art, sign me up. All of the stories were S-tier. Amazing storylines and storytelling.
1) Creature in the woods in love with a human who put a curse on himself to reincarnate after he dies to stay with the creature forever
2) MC has a face too beautiful that he throws up every time someone mentions it because he’s too used to being seen for his beauty and nothing else. He meets a science geek who doesn’t care about appearances.
3) Astronaut alone on a planet figures out that he talked to his dead companion through an AI since the earth had been destroyed a year prior to his mission
Bluer than summer
Sweet and simple short story of two baby gays and their journey of self discovery and falling in love :((. ML has a chronic illness and falls in love with the MC at first sight after seeing him basically living the life he never could get (being active and energetic). MC falls in love with ML after some soul searching (he was really confused because he also never had a best friend before) and they become a baby couple. It’s just diabetes :((.
your romance
Okay ngl the second couple was more interesting than the main couple. It was cute to see how smitten the main couple were for each other, but the character development for the main couple really only focused on the MC coming out and being comfortable with the ML. The MC and ML didn’t have a lot of personality. The MC for the second couple, however, went through a major breakup and developed from an insecure person with a lot of trust issues to someone who’s willing to be vulnerable with a new partner. It was unfortunate that we didn’t get to see more of the second MC at the end. Props to the author for showing a breakup from a toxic relationship that didn’t seem too obviously toxic with the second couple. I’ve never actually seen that happen in a manga before.
Nakanai Hibari
MC’s brother died and his brother’s friend blames himself for his death. MC doesn’t hold a grudge against his brother’s friend and loves him instead. The story is short and sweet, but the emotions of uncertainty, restraint, and guilt are captured perfectly in the art. The manga wouldn’t be as good without the G O R G E O U S art. Story wise, wasn’t very revolutionary, but the art- Chile it was just my type (lots of contrast, gradients, bold lines).
Our Sweet 1R
Shima and Kaname are hopelessly in love with each other but are both worried that the other will fall out of love. It’s a rollercoaster of misunderstandings and miscommunication, but I love it because the art captures the insecurities and anxieties they have so well. I live for pointless drama and I was on my toes for all the pointless plot lines.
