His fingers was on top of hers. If u don't like what's happening go shoo! Read other stories solely for adventure and action, nobody's even gonna know you're gone. This story doesn't need your bitter ass complaining on every single update.

To answer this, you can see in every fantasy novel that people are asking "is there a romance?" it is because they are tired of that "damsel in distress cliche" yet here we are, the author still used this one.
There are few "well written" novel that dont go to this cliche route, such as ORV. If you still like the novel then like it, but majority of the people would rather choose a well written plot, over the cliche romance type of novel.
Idk where you are going with your argument, but if your stand is about Tess and Romance within the story uhhhh the genre really has a ROMANCE TAG on it even on online ln sites this story has a romance or slow romance tag so your argument doesn't really hold water here. That's why saying it's "cliche" redundantly about the author's decision of focus on Tess' flaws, mishaps and Arthur's sacrifices is the direction the author wants for it is indeed encompasses a romance department.
What does ORV stand for? (My brain doesn't work now lol) and true however Arthur's storyline was somehow close to Mushoku Tensei's story (specially with the way they started them as a child prodigy) but romance isn't bad like Dragon Ball has it too but there's no focuses on it same goes to other stories
