No I’m pretty sure it said she was from an affair he had. I think they talked about it around the time she met her old childhood friend, the information guild guy.
She thought so at first... but it dawned on her that the reason she was hated like that if because she is an illegitimate daughter of his. They would have no reason to hate an unrelated orphan brought in to act as a substitute like they hated her.
