I really enjoyed the story beginning to end. I feel like the story was really droven by the characters. I have so much love for Aoki (I think it is my undying love for him that makes Tengoku more tolerable lol). He’s officially in my favorite list of ukes from yaoi. From his character design to his personality, there is nothing to dislike. On the other hand, Tengoku has a lot of flaws and he is undeniably a jerk. Personally, I would have liked to see more character development for him, but to be fair, the development he got is more realistic and believable than my expectations (no one changes like a flip of a coin). Despite his unlikable qualities (I really like his character design though lol), he is still a very humane character due to his faults and I find him interesting than a lot of the other perfect semes in yaoi.
Tengoku and Aoki in no way make an ideal couple, but I would say their story and characters are one of the most interesting ones in yaoi. Only thing I wish more from the story is getting more resolution and closure to Aoki’s trauma. His trauma with his mom was so relatable and unique in yaoi genre that I kinda wish we see more of Aoki bringing closure to it (like seeing how his mom and his relationship is at on present day).
it would be a dream if it get a continuation, there are other things to explore and the couple have potential to grow ever more
