i truly believe that the way the ending was executed was quite beautiful. it means so much to see yoowol and yoongyeol work together and coexist between themselves to love each other and work on themselves separately :’) such a lovely couple.. i shed so many tears over them :( this being heart wrenching is such an understatement. it hurt so bad lmfao i love them so, so much.
as for jungwon, i feel like this is an entirely different story. i barely feel a rice grains’ worth of sympathy for him as a character. i understand no one deserves to carry their parents’ burdens and baggage. he’s just a tragic character who very unfortunately went down the wrong path (understatement!!).
however, do NOT confuse this as me justifying his actions. there is absolutely no excuse for the disgusting things (crimes) this character acted upon in this story. also, the push and shove of jungwon’s pity party to make us feel sympathy for him was overall just bad and a huge overkill. i can’t ever imagine feeling sorry for someone like that, especially when they are conscious of their actions.
also, you must try to put yourself in yoowol’s shoes and acknowledge why this ending was perfect for HIM especially and why it’d be absolutely absurd to ever stay with jungwon.
jungwon and yoowol were ultimately not meant to be together. it’s a fact. i can’t lie and say seeing comments stating they should be together doesn’t bother me, because it really does. just the thought of them being endgame makes me sick to my stomach and imo, i can’t ever see it happening.
edit: please do not argue with me about MY opinion on jungwon. this isn’t meant to anger anyone at all. i just find him repulsive 99.9999% of the time throughout the whole thing. i also do respect the author for writing a good story. PLEASE understand n use critical thinking skills (●'◡'●)ノ ty
im so sad about ch 40 like NOOOO
