i feel like i would’ve liked this a little more if there wasn’t so many r@pe aspects involved… i mean like, it’s cute, but it’s very hard to ignore that （￣へ￣）
i actually quite think this was an ok read it reminds me of a danmei novel i’ve read before (won’t say the name cus ur gonna jump me).
as always, this plot definitely has major flaws. for example, the r@pe and torture of mc from the previous emperor was absolutely horrible, seriously! i could say a lot about this but id be here all day. not to mention the emperor had multiple children with the concubines and even murd3red one of them :( i felt sick to my stomach seeing the flashbacks and watching mc having panic attacks. if you’ve ever had one it’s the worst feeling ever, it’s terrifying. even worse because he was so much willing to end his own life. it takes a lot of fear to make you feel that way.
ALSO i despised the previous emperor so much dawg, he was disgusting. however, the current emperor definitely still needs more development on the way he treats his own people as well as his CHILD. talk about a two faced man… i was very much expecting to be disappointed when mc and ml got together but i’m satisfied that the past did not repeat itself. also the fact that ml wanted to abort his and his lover’s child? that was so outrageous dude. but alas here we are
this lil reflection is pretty much complete n overall i don’t love this but i don’t hate it either. it’s definitely a slow burn and it can get repetitive but it was alright.
