I think the author used "he keeps coming back to me like salmon" because (if my memory got it right) that fish travels rivers against its current for the mating season, because its eggs need the water source or can't take the salt... Anyways, so they keep fighting whatever floping and flying for miles until they reach their destination, put their eggs, then most of them die from exhaustion
So the uke does whatever it takes to come back to the seme, they do it then flop from exhaustion
