Truth. In addition, the MIL became down to earth because their family lost their company. She can't like a snotty woman anymore.
I would have preferred it if they just got divorced. They seems to be better off without each other. But this is harlequin world
1. She drowning in self pity made her do some stupid decisions but I don't think it was wrong for her to ask for divorce, first thing when arriving in London. Both were better without each other
2. He is clearly dissatisfied with his life with her: "I missed a good champagne", and their friends saying his lifestyle with her is embarassing. Nepotism SUCKS, he should be proud he is building something from almost nothing with her without his parents giving a position in the company: it show whatever he does or gains it's his own effort, but he clearly has no willpower to do big without his family
3. Don't we all love when the 2nd lead do the autruistic thing and let the FL go for her hapiness? It's close, she saw he was losing his "potential" because he was accomodating her so she let him go, go for his father's company and love in the luxury he misses so much
4. Saying that FL has a prejudice with rich people is BULLCRAP, he doesn't know what it feels like to pull oneself using their bootstraps, and being realist here what rich people cares for their employees more than themselves? His family was hostile to her from the begining, first impression counts specially with how you treat people... he got the current position because he was dealing with the aftemath of his father colapsing and later was in the leadership of the company, no merits here
5. Also, about the reason why everything started: who kisses their friend's sister in the mouth? It's something british people do? Because misunderstandings are the least it causes, specially if their spouse just surprise came back from a business trip. He didn't have the balls to talk about those things himself, she had to heard it from the another person and then her FIL was hospitalised, it didn't have much space for dialogue here. Like WTF there is nothing wrong in the women making more money than the man... he is so ashamed that he can talk with the sister of his friend but not his spouse? He has no balls, he is sharing a life with her WTF?!?!
6. She going out with another guy is wrong while married, but they BOTH didn't contact each other to define where they stand so yeah... she asking for divorce was reasonable.. he is doing well, she is doing well let's break up and live our lives like we have been doing for YEARS
