He was probably trying to hide the person with him from sunao so that he doesn't get the wrong idea when he talking to another person in a corner, close.
Probably Kuon just thought of the hug as a 'friend hug' nothing romantical there that I saw. ┑(￣- ￣)┍
I still don't get the part where Kuon hug someone else if he has Sunao already. hmmm...
It's not called testing or rather planned out but still confusing after all.
Wait wait--- I guess it was 'testing' after all to show more of Sunao's personality. The way he reacted on that scene was really light because he's still confused with his feelings towards Kuon. I'm not sure about what I'm saying but it's close enough....
I like the development in the end. Kudos to the mangaka!
