It hurts

i totally understand Shin. They live in a very traditional time, and it's only to be expected that the king of a nation will have a queen and an heir. We can't blame Shin for saying that, although it hurts to see them hurting because of those words. Shin just want the best for his king and his country, even if it means to sacrifice his love and his happiness. He realised that he loves Wolfgang, but their scenario is not the most convinient for their love, so Shin had to make the best decision he toought was right for the king. AND IT HURTS
