i think the demon can appear in rix's hallucination through the curse and insult him, if demon isn't shown up, rix gets harassed by those invisible hands.
no matter how many times rix gets 'raped' or 'beaten' by demon during the curse, he looks perfectly normal the next day, no scar no bleeding no wound.
rix's closest subordinates know what's happened at night, imagine if the demon was doing this and that to rix in his tent for real, how come his subordinates did nothing about it, only because they can't meddle with someone's thoughts.
