Omg your comment really nailed it on the head.. it’s frustrating when I see ppl say he didn’t get to know cause she was cold and distance.. well duh, how else was she supposed to act when he outright hated her and anything nice that she did for him was viewed as scheming ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ also, the two second leads are completely being disregarded as the story progress... I mean without them, MC would not be the person that she is in this life.
The more I learn about the ML’s past, the more I dislike him.
MC’s mother and MC both treated him so nicely when he was younger. He even said they were the only two people who treated him with kindness and without calculation. The mother asked him to take care of her daughter on her deathbed. And yet in the future, that’s how he treats the mother’s remaining family???? By killing off her husband and forcing her child to death??? By killing the MC who was one of those who cared for him since childhood???
You can blame it on bad communication, but did he even try to understand the MC? MC might be “bad at saying what she thinks” but, he is so self-absorbed and busy being a victim that he never tried to understand her.
At this point I feel like the backstory is just a convenient excuse for his behaviour.
