Okay, yeah the aftermath of the fallout between the three sucks and people definitely took it way too far, I feel bad for her there cuz the real problem was the boyfriend. But 1)she wasn’t blameless and 2)that is no reason to treat the Duke how she’s been treating him. 1- Hard truth, if the SO of your friend is contacting you randomly and trying to spend unprompted time with you, you tell you friend, no matter how close they seemed in that one interaction she saw. That’s just the respectful thing to do. Or else you risk looking like you went behind their back, thinking other wise it naive. 2- I can see how incident would make her hesitant to get near someone her friend was engaged to or interested in, but that’s no what happened here. Her new new friend actually expressed a sincere lack of interest in him and it doesn’t seem like other then her deciding that she’s interfering with his “destined lover” she has no issue with him and is simply disregarding his clear affection for her. In other words in both cases she was acting naive and selfish by not actually considering the other pasties in the equation.
