spoiler: (this the information i gathered from past comments that i've crossed on here) the empress is fertile but back when she and the emperor were children i think someone put poison into a dish for the young (soon to be) empress to eat so she would become infertile. but instead the emperor ate it by accident, soo the emperor is the infertile one not the empress. no one knows until later in the story but she does end up having a child with the ml
So is the baby Trashta carrying not the emperor's ?

nope it's actually uhhh her last kid's dad so yk that one duke who kept her as a slave b4 rashta met the emperor yea his son. he just recently appeared, i think in the last 2 chapters or so

Nah, Soviet stole cookies from his mother chamber to feed Navier, cause he feel bad Navier has to go through strict diet, but that cookies was something his mother prepared for his father concubine to make her miscarriage and infertile, when his mother found out, Soviet lied that he is the only one who eat it. After several years with no children, Soviet concluded that both of them are infertile and planned to adopt relatives children for successor, but then he save Rasta and Rasta got pregnant, so he concluded that Navier is the one infertile/

Navier got pregnant only after a few month she married Heinly, then Soviet began to doubt about the child identity, but he still believed in Rasta innocence, but when the public found out Rasta first child look exactly the same like his child, the Emperor has no choice but to conduct paternity test.

Yeah, they both eat it, that's why Soviet so sure that Navier is the one who become infertile and he wasn't affected by the poison cookies cause Rasta was pregnant, that's why he shamelessly ask Navier to adopt Rasta child but when Navier refused, he planned to divorce her and make Rasta the Empress for a year and then remarried Navier again as The empress after the baby is born, but Navier shattered his plan by remarrying with Heinly, and she got pregnant right after. Soviet thinking 'we've been married for several years but still no children but you got pregnant right after you married another man', he then tried to found resemblance with his child but found none, but it's not like he could go to church to test it, so he made a plan to expose Rasta first child to the public and the public demand a paternity test, and after the paternity test, it turn out it's not his child,
In the Trial, Rasta told the audience that Soviet was infertile, though the public doubt it now but it's enough to create a rifle, if Soviet later got married again but still there is no children, it would make the royal power unstable, that's why soviet can't get married hastily, beside he is still hoping that Navier would come back to him one day, Soviet believed Navier 'Can not' go back to him because of her pride, if she leave Heinly to come back to her ex husband, the world would insulted her, it never crossed his mind that Navier 'Do not want' to go back to him.
