wow... okay, ever heard of the discrimination , stigmatization, and all the shit tons of LGBTQIA+ people have to deal with and live through? How about hate crimes committed to and against them?
It takes a lot of courage and strong will for someone to come out and tell others that they're not the default straight.
Hiding it and keeping it a secret is a form of protection, whether for yourself or others. Maybe it isn't safe because the person/people you tell with turn on you , hate you, attack you with their words or with violence.
Tell me, is that something YOU"D willingly bring upon yourself?
I very much doubt so.

Omg are you someone who has come out to their parents ? Or are you mistaking this for a heterosexual relationship? Not everyone has the courage to tell their parents that they are gay and that’s completely alright if they aren’t. It’s understandable. Your comment is very insensitive and I hope you think before you write something like that. Because honestly I doubt you understand what lgbtq people go through mentally. And even if you did I guess you aren’t as understanding as one would be when one belonged to the community.
bullshit! there's nothing to understand. If you don't have the guts to tell other people that your partner is your partner, you're NOT prepared for a relationship. There's no excuse to hide someone.
