The actual toxicity is excusing rape because it’s fictional. We’re not childish or being overreactive because we’re rightfully calling something that sickening out. Yes, it’s an issue that most BLs normalize rape, but that doesn’t make it okay. Some authors are progressing and realizing that their plot doesn’t need to have sexual harassment between the MCs. Maybe you should try reading “On or Off” and realize how much better a story is without the unnecessary raping that doesn’t serve a purpose aside erotic reasons lmfao

Yes, it does concern what you’ve said so far because you said rape is normal in BLs, thus we should be “okay” with it. Like, what type of logic is that? Just because it’s been normalized in fiction, it’s fine ??? No; it just proves there’s more of an issue if people like you think that the romanticization of rape in fiction is perfectly okay.
And exactly what the person above said. There’s already issues with LGBTQ+ representation, and in one of the most common representations, BLs, the audience is not only taught to be okay with manipulative, toxic, and gaslighting relationships, but with sexual assault as well. There is literally no way that you don’t realize how problematic this is for readers who are LGBTQ+ themselves, especially MLM.
Uh, and rape in BLs doesn’t only affect the LGBTQ+ audience either, lol. Using rape scenes for erotic purposes and twisting natural bodily reactions to stimulus as “wanting it” is harmful to everyone.
Someone raping you is much worse than someone calling you his master or getting mad like people just forget the fact that he literally ripped the guy but they're talking about cain being a two-face. He literally got rape but people are not talking about it because he's hot like people need some help like seriously you guys need some help ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
