just re-read this after a long while, and my heart just bleeds for makoto-san. it takes a lot of strength to overcome that kind of inferiority complex, and you could see he loved his little brother too! it's wonderful he found someone who loved him for his flaws, and encouraged him to be himself & cherish himself. *sigh* it's a great message, and a heart-warming story. <3 loved both brothers' stories, really ^_^
