My thoughts exactly, same with Love is an illusion.
Firstly, put a smile on is just literally straight up rape. It's not because he had an interest.
Secondly, it's probably because this is kinda more of a dating. Violence than rape imo.

It kills me how close this is to other manga/wha and yet none of the puritans are raving about lack of consent and rape in this. It shows the inconsistency of a lot of misguided beliefs of new readers of yaoi. I wouldn't count this as rape between Mookyul and Ewon, but why are the fanatics in here not raving to the moon that Mookyul raped Ewon?
I love this, read it many years ago, then again, and then this gorgeous webtoon. Now, the seme in Put On A Smile reminds me of Mookyul, yet the attitudes toward Put on a Smile are so violently different than Captivated when it first came out. That was back when people had so much better perspective on rape. Now it's digressed to such an extent that many if not most of those people are so f'ked up about rape that they're almost completely lost to all reason.
