If everyone would propose with an already finished marriage preparation, either the divorce rate would raise or that could happen. I mean if an over enthusiatic (maybe a bit delusional) person who hasn't talked with their lover about it suddenly proposes, there exist cases with rejections. Not everyone in a relationship, has one with the intent to marry or staying together for decades - I heard of many cases. Or they just aren't ready yet, or feel like their partner isn't the right one to marry or similiar. There should be statistics or numbers about it for sure. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I agree. Marriages are a commitment between both parties not a surprise. Proposals are surprises but happen when both sides are aware that the other wants to commit to marriage. One side shouldnt be clueless. If you propose before talking about the future with your partner and get rejected then thats on you ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ (love this emoji stealing it in the future lmao)
Hold up he invited people to their wedding... BEFORE PROPOSING TO HIM?! wrong order mah dude
