age gap shoujo

why do so many shoujo mangas feature huge age gap couples with minors?? like does anyone else find that pretty uncomfy? idk if it’s a Japan thing but a 16 yr old with a 26 yr old doesn’t sit right with me and I can never bring myself to read these

I agree with you there can be like a couple of years of age gaps but some are just too much- but I still read some and they aren't bad-

Saaaaame. I can never get into the whole student-teacher relationship trope wherein the girl is in high school. I guess its a story geared toward girls who like more "mature" men rather than immature "boys" but idk thats just my understanding of it.

yeah those are disgusting and i hate them lmao. such as stories like daytime shooting star, where they ship the FL with the teacher (thank god its not canon)

i do recommend ONE manhwa that handles age gap EXTREMELY WELL. its still a romance nonetheless, its totally legal, and not that weird unlike the other mangas and manhwas
