Bro, i actually feel bad for you. You have to give this manga a chance especially because you rated faded first love and ganbare nakamura kun 5 stars. I think the writing of boy meets maria is better than faded first love or ganbare nakamura kun. Give this another go until chapter 4, and if you still dont like it, then you can drop it.

Hmm lemme guess, someone in his family dressed him as a girl when he was a kid hence why that headband guy said he was sure he was a girl or maybe he was abused by someone in his family, then he grew up bitter because of it but then the dark haired guy shows up in his life they start interacting because the dark haired guy will ask for his help with acting, suddenly they'll start to realize there's more to their relationship but neither will say anything, someone from his past will sho up suddenly cause drama and strengthen his friendship with dark haired boy and they both will realize the big gay, then they will act a super important play on the school and eventually confess to each other because that's how every cliche goes.

Because of the great writing. Even the most generic, predictable plot can be enjoyable because of great writing. But yes, i understand where youre coming from. Just wanna tell my perpective uwu. Any opinion not born out of hate/prejudice is valid. I'm just tired of all those cliches lol, especially because they only exist to extend the story until it's so saturated and boring that the author has no other choice but to suddenly end it on a shitty note.
