You are right. In fact, RL statistics indicated that the marriages of those that engage in premarital sex are more likely to fail than those that waited until after their vows. There is real wisdom in waiting.

Oh? I misunderstood, but I think, maybe, indirectly, we are meaning something similar. People enjoy physical compatibility and mistake it for love instead of taking the time to build the kind of real emotional bond that goes beyond sex and pleasure.
The latter is more durable than the former when trials come, and there is no such thing as a marriage without trials.
There are plenty of couples who have really happy and long lasting relationships whether or not they waited for marriage and there are couples who don't even marry and have been together for a really long time. Marriage isn't the decider for how long and how happy a relationship is nor is it always a goal for a relationship.
However! Having sex with someone ONCE, especially a stranger and/or someone you're not in a relationship with, does not require them to be your lover nor will they, realistically, catch feelings for you. That is what I was saying. One night stands does not mean you and your sex partner are now in love. You can fall in love later but not that exact moment so you should enter into a one night stand scenario with the right kind of expectations and state of mind.
