I'm guessing the equivalent exchange is going to be either her true love or her feelings/ memories of her true love. Something more human or tangible that'll leave her bereft. There was a similar exchange themed episode in a manhua called ghost stories. So I'm just guessing. Good for her that she's starting to understand now.
