I died at "Dear God" part. BTW, I HATE THE SEME, RN. Coz the uke in the past is just being honest (though it sounded really harsh since he didn't sugar-coat his words) and I personally think it's better that way. Would he have preferred the uke to accept him without feelings out of pity and dump him after finding someone who suits his (uke's) taste? It's really wrong,rn. He's so childish. And yes,I know it's just a part of the story which will trigger their feelings for each other and eventually lead to their happy ending so Don't hate me. I'm simply expressing my opinion. Thanks.
