I think because the main character is the girl, it's her story so you don't want to have any girl take the boy she love or be unhappy. It would be the same with a boy as the main character, you following his story but the girl he love is not very good or anything and the second female of the story is better you will have a second lead syndrome I think !!!
I don't remember a lot of manga/manhwa with the boys point of view in a love story.
It’s kinda funny how we all get the second lead syndrome for the boy but never for the girl, get her the fk out of here
