I just realized this is the second time I've commented on this. I...have a lot of feelings about it, apparently.
Nothing wrong with that. I thought your comments were spot on. If we don't raise holy ned about these attitudes, they would probably never change.
She was so baller until literally the last five pages. Like, keep being strong and independent and don't put up with his shit. Yes, I know it's Harlequin and therefore love conquers all, etc but she called him out on being a total douche nozzle. And just because he loves her doesn't mean he suddenly doesn't believe that same crap deep down!
Please don't ask me why I'm giving so much thought to this, I just really like the main character and am sorry she ended up with him (even though I knew she would).
