Her plan is literally to love him and give him a stable home life so he doesn't become a villain. It's true that Ain had no weakness because of his "training" but the Mother thinks that it messed him up so bad (one of the reason) that he became a villain. What's the point of having no weakness if you die in the end anyways because you're not a stable person and you do evil sh*t? She is prioritizing Ain's mental health.
I don't get why people keep hating on the Mother.
She's not stupid, she's literally in the novel mindset that said the only reason Ain became a villain was because of his stepmother; that's why she's under the impression that Ain is just some innocent child because he hasn't been abused yet. Ain also acts innocent around her too, why should she think otherwise?
And her wanting to terminate poison training is totally understandable. We, as readers are privy Ain's family history yada yada and how important poison is for them, but the Mother obviously doesn't, so she does not know how important it is. Also, what normal person coming from Earth will think poisoning a child as training is okay anyway? We all think it's alright because we are in that 'isekai' mindset, but no normal person would be comfortable with that. That sh*t is wrong.
