I dont care if this is based on a true story, but if I were Akira, I would change number or at least block Masaru's number to really end things with Masaru.. Yeah, maybe now Akira can accept the ocassionally cruel word and action from Masaru, but the longer they are together, more hurtful word and thing will happen. This can wear Akira down and later a break up is inevitable.. At least, that's how i would feel in that sort of relationship..

on many occassion.. the refusal is one thing, but the way he refuse itself is a problem, like its a gross thing to him.. I can help to think that Masaru is selfish to an extent.. everything that he did he does it on his way without any regard to Akira's feeling,

ooohh i can see why. hmm how do i say this....its probably how he is raised? like very straightforward and probably he himself doesnt know what is wrong with his wording. after all he came to akira's like that without regards and that their first convo is with masaru saying something bad on akira's blog. he might have need more thinking on touching and kissing after all he is straight and it takes time. sometimes we hurt our loved ones even without knowing and i like that it is shown here.
it is masaru's character to be like that and akira is too much selfless. it is their flaw which is okay because we have to accept not everyone is perfect and in fiction everyone wants the character to be perfect but thats boring. maybe it isnt stated but i bet masaru will have a character development in real life once akira becomes confident andncounters hsi selfishness.
its fine to feel upset over characters or people's bad decision or choice but that doesnt mean they have a bad heart/person.

Did you read the full interview after the story. Yanagi was asked how do they maintain a long relationship. I think the buttom line of it is accepting and understanding each others pitfall. Yanagi even understand masaru could say mean things but he come to accepting that this is still masaru. Also yanagi and masaru come into agreement that they will make their relationship work no matter what happens. This comes with believing that they have to be determine to work and make it happen. As a result each of them tries to adjust.

Alot of non gay relationship i heard with my friends are like this. They nag at each other buy never left and break. True there will be bad days but doea not mean good days will not come.

Adding to this. Men-women relationship does not real came to break up becoz they are nagging each others. 80% is when they stop listening to each other.
