If a series isn't doing popular then it gets cancelled to make way for others. Watch Bakuman and you'll see what I mean.
i think because maybe the mangaka didn't reach the expectations of the people even tho if another mangaka wrote this in his place.. it would be popular enough (only if it wasn't so rushed and now i understand why it was rushed) i still enjoyed it tho and would read it again
I don't really think that has anything to do with the Mangaka per say. Even if Masashi Kishimoto was the one solely working on the Manga, that alone wouldn't have changed things.
